The Children Book project posted on: 25 / 07 / 2007 This project is the first project I made as a member of the content team at Straylight (previously, I had officially been a member of the development team). My role was to rig, skin, and pose 6 characters in 3 comic books that had 36 pages each. I also had key involvement in the modelling and texturing of the hair for each character. The project had a very tight deadline. In order to minimise the impact on the concepting and modelling phases of the production, I spent a lot of the initial time creating tools that would speed up the rigging and posing process. Animated Short Rackan posted on: 11 / 11 / 2006 I have been working on the models and rigs of a new animated feature called Rackan. I am quite interested in using some of Maya's animation deformer and see what kind of secondary motion can be achieved with it. |

The Fudge Dragon posted on: 20 / 10 / 2006 I am not sure what the real name of this creature is, but everyone at work called it the Fudge Dragon (pronounced with a dramatic japanese accent!). This was made for the 2006 halloween party of a friend at work. The costume design is based on an Ultraman monster toy that was given to me earlier that year. |

Animated Short Un Jour À La Plage posted on: 19 / 06 / 2005 This was an assignment I completed in my fourth year of Comp. Sci. The purpose of the assignment was to produce an animated sequence that featured two or more of Disney's animation principles. The sequence had to be rendered using Mirage (the Otago Graphics Lab CSG renderer), therefore all of the models and animations had to be created programatically. The character was modeled using Implicit Surfaces, and the tree is modeled through a recursive procedure which takes two parameters (the angle of the tree and the number of leaves) In this project I learned a lot about: |
